Mais de um milhar de pessoas em Braga exige medidas de prevenção de combate aos incêndios

Os incêndios que devastaram o país no passado domingo levou a cidade de Braga a juntar-se à manifestação nacional ‘Portugal contra os incêndios’.

Mais de um milhar de bracarenses concentrou-se na Praça da República onde fez 1 minuto de silêncio, seguindo pelas ruas do centro até à Praça do Município.

Esta que deveria ser uma manifestação silenciosa, levou a que a multidão não conseguisse ficar calada, gritando em protesto “Para os bancos vão milhões e para a floresta vão tostões”, “Bombeiros, unidos, o povo está contigo”, “É necessário para os bombeiros um salário”, “Exigimos medidas de prevenção”.

Na Praça do Município, os manifestantes fizeram, uma vez mais, um minuto de silêncio, cantando, em seguida, o hino nacional como forma de apoio ao país e aos bombeiros.

Braga vai ter ‘Casa dos Gatos’ para cuidar e proteger os gatos de rua

O movimento cívico ‘Braga para Todos’ reuniu mais uma vez com Altino Bessa, vereador do Ambiente, Energia e Desenvolvimento Rural, para discutir algumas questões do projeto ‘Casa dos Gatos’ e do CED, com a presença da associação ‘Saquetas de Rua’.

Com a realização da reunião, o movimento acredita que Braga irá “ter finalmente políticas públicas de proteção animal e começar a trabalhar para a construção de uma sociedade com mais justiça e igualdade”. No entanto, o ‘Braga Para Todos’ alerta para a importância do papel ativo da sociedade na política da cidade, como “essencial para exigir trabalho da câmara”. “As rápidas mudanças nas políticas públicas de proteção animal são satisfatórias. Estamos felizes pela questão do CED (captura, esterilização e devolução) passar para o pelouro do Ambiente, o que até faz sentido, e pode terminar com a burocracia gigante que a AGERE apresentava, colocando em risco a vida dos animais. Por outro lado, é mais uma vitória para o nosso movimento, já que o CED e a ambulância eram os pontos cruciais da petição”, frisa o movimento.

No entanto, o ‘Braga Para Todos’ acredita que estas medidas só serão eficazes se o atual executivo conseguir ter “uma relação próxima com os cidadãos e uma melhor comunicação, onde sejam transmitidas as novas alterações e qual o papel do cidadão para evitar vários crimes ocorrentes em Braga”.

Além do CED a cargo do Pelouro do Ambiente, Braga será a segunda cidade a implementar a  ‘Aldeia dos Gatos’. Este conceito nasceu em Sintra através da associação ‘Movimento Movido a 4 patas’, que pretende  ver o projeto em várias cidades e criar um roteiro pelo país, com o objetivo de dignificar a vida animal, em especial os gatos, o que já acontece em outros países da Europa.

O projeto executado pelo ‘Braga para Todos’  já esta na  posse do executivo. “A Câmara prevê a criação de dois testes em duas freguesias e, se correr bem, vai implementar mais em outros pontos da cidade,  perto de colónias esterilizadas. Pretendemos com isto ajudar a Câmara e as Juntas com o problema da comida humana, e criar uma forma mais limpa e organizada de alimentar as colónias e estas permanecerem durante a noite ou dias de frio e chuva, e serem também alimentados neste espaço, deixando as ruas limpas”, esclarece o movimento.

“A ‘Casa dos Gatos’ será testada na cidade e, se todas as promessas foram executadas, Braga será das cidades mais evoluídas em políticas de proteção animal. Admitimos que devíamos ter feito este movimento mais cedo, pois acreditamos que a oposição construtiva pode fazer a diferença. Neste momento, a Câmara está de parabéns, mas falta  a  parte prática e para isso existimos nós, para questionar. Temos fé que com a associação  ‘Saquetas de Rua’ no terreno e a vontade de trabalhar nesta causa do vereador Altino Bessa até dezembro, já devemos ter CED e uma ‘Casa dos Gatos'”, ressalva, ainda, o ‘Braga Para Todos’.

Incêndios provocam prejuízos avultados em Crespos e Pousada

No rescaldo dos incêndios que atingiram violentamente a União de Freguesias de Crespos e Pousada durante este fim de semana, a autarquia local está a apurar as consequências do flagelo que só não tomou proporções maiores devido à ação dos bombeiros e do inexcedível apoio de inúmeros populares.

As canalizações que abastecem os fontanários públicos foram severamente atingidas, tornando a água imprópria para consumo. A Junta de Freguesia considera que a situação é preocupante e está neste momento em conversações permanentes com as entidades competentes, tendo em vista a reposição da normalidade.

As chamas, encorajadas pelos ventos fortes, consumiram uma vasta área verde de Crespos e Pousada. A Junta de Freguesia enaltece a atuação dos bombeiros e dos muitos populares que, com meios próprios, defenderam os seus bens, contribuindo de forma determinante para a salvaguarda das moradias e dos próprios habitantes de Crespos e Pousada.

Há, ainda assim, registo de danos materiais significativos, que no entender da Junta de Freguesia carecem de uma resposta premente e que seguramente representarão um custo avultado para a autarquia local. Nesta primeira fase de análise, o caso mais evidente trata-se da reparação necessária das canalizações que conduzem a água proveniente das minas de Crespos e Pousada e que servem os fontanários públicos da União de Freguesias.

A Junta adotou, desde a primeira hora, uma postura cooperante com as demais entidades, a quem têm sido reportadas as várias anomalias decorrentes destes incêndios. Durante os próximos dias, a autarquia local dará continuidade ao levantamento de todas as situações ocorridas e, dentro das suas competências, continuará a prestar apoio à população.

Fogo destruiu 1.200 hectares em Braga

Os fogos descontrolados que cercaram a cidade de Braga na noite de domingo registaram uma destruição de 1.200 hectares.

Dada a situação de incêndios de gravidade acima do normal, o Município de Braga ativou o Plano Municipal de Emergência de Proteção Civil no concelho.

Os incêndios deram início em Morreira e, devido aos ventos fortes e o calor que se registava, alastrou-se rapidamente para outras freguesias onde arderam três habitações e duas fábricas em Nogueira. Dezenas de pessoas foram evacuadas, incluindo o Hotel da Falperra e o Hotel João Paulo II.

De acordo com os Bombeiros Voluntários de Braga, “este é o pior e maior incêndio de sempre na história de Braga.

O Município de Braga marcou uma conferência de imprensa para esta tarde, a fim de dar o balanço das operações de combate aos incêndios registados no concelho. Estarão presentes Firmino Marques, vereador da Proteção Civil, Vítor Azevedo, da Divisão Municipal de Proteção Civil, e João Felgueiras, comandante dos Bombeiros Sapadores de Braga.

Braga ativa Plano Municipal de Emergência

Dada a situação de incêndios de gravidade acima do normal, o Município de Braga ativou ontem o Plano Municipal de Emergência de Proteção Civil do concelho, conforme o previsto na Lei 27/2006, de 3 de Julho e na Lei 65/2007, de 12 de novembro. A medida surge devido à previsão de prolongamento de condições favoráveis à ocorrência de incêndios florestais e à previsibilidade da ocorrência de precipitação que, face às condições atuais dos solos, possibilitará o arrastamento de materiais sólidos.

Considerando que a situação presente implica a adoção de medidas especiais nos termos previstos no Plano Municipal de Emergência, foram acionados os agentes de Protecção Civil da área do Município necessários aos trabalhos para a resolução da ocorrência, sem prejuízo das decisões tomadas pelo Comandante das Operações de Socorro. Foram ainda acionadas todas as entidades e pessoas com especial dever de colaboração nos termos de mesmo plano.

A articulação das intervenções dos diversos agentes são coordenadas pelo Coordenador Municipal de Proteção Civil, em estreita colaboração com o Comandante das Operações de Socorro, sem prejuízo das diversas forças atuarem no terreno sob os seus comandos ou chefias próprias.

Por motivos de segurança, a via da Falperra e a via de acesso ao Bom Jesus e ao Sameiro encontram-se encerradas total ou parcialmente, para trabalhos de limpeza e manutenção das estradas e remoção de árvores caídas.

Moradores refugiam-se na Cripta do Sameiro

As chamas chegaram ao Bom Jesus e ao Sameiro, levando a que pelo menos quinze pessoas se refugiassem na cripta da Basílica do Sameiro, segundo avança o Jornal de Notícias.

A cripta foi aberta para abrigar moradores, trabalhadores e clientes do Hotel João Paulo II.

Braga cercada de fogo

A cidade de Braga ficou cercada de chamas na noite deste domingo. O incêndio que deflagrou o concelho teve início em Morreira, onde arderam duas habitações. O vento forte levou a que as chamas se alastrassem rapidamente para Nogueira, Fraião e Lamaçães, levando ao evacuamento de dezenas de moradores nas zonas de risco e do Hotel da Falperra.

Há a confirmação de uma casa ardida em Fraião, tendo as chamas ameaçado, ainda, o Hospital Privado, em Nogueira.

O cenário infernal vivido na noite deste domingo moveu a população bracarense a juntar-se para auxiliar os bombeiros com água e bens alimentares.

Registaram-se, ainda, incêndios em Crespos, Este S. Pedro, Nogueiró, Tenões e Espinho.

De acordo com o Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA), estão previstos aguaceiros para esta noite.

Incêndio em Braga gera onda de solidariedade

O incêndio que lavra este domingo à noite em Braga mobilizou os bracarenses para ajudar os bombeiros que estão a combater as chamas.

Dezenas de pessoas encontram-se junto à Makro para recolher água e bens alimentares que serão entregues aos soldados da paz.

Ricardo Rio foi reeleito Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Braga, pela coligação ‘Juntos por Braga’ , bisando a maioria absoluta.

A coligação venceu este domingo com 52,08% dos votos, conseguindo, assim, eleger o sétimo vereador. Por seu turno, o Partido Socialista, de Miguel Corais, recolheu 27, 93% dos votos, elegendo três vereadores. A CDU, de Carlos Almeida, arrecadou 9,61% dos votos, conseguindo manter o lugar de vereador. Já o Bloco de Esquerda, de Paula Nogueira, não passou dos 4,84%, e o Nós Cidadãos!, de Armando Caldas, somou 1,16%, não conseguindo ambos um lugar na vereação da Câmara Municipal.
