Ricardo Rio foi reeleito Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Braga, pela coligação ‘Juntos por Braga’ , bisando a maioria absoluta.

A coligação venceu este domingo com 52,08% dos votos, conseguindo, assim, eleger o sétimo vereador. Por seu turno, o Partido Socialista, de Miguel Corais, recolheu 27, 93% dos votos, elegendo três vereadores. A CDU, de Carlos Almeida, arrecadou 9,61% dos votos, conseguindo manter o lugar de vereador. Já o Bloco de Esquerda, de Paula Nogueira, não passou dos 4,84%, e o Nós Cidadãos!, de Armando Caldas, somou 1,16%, não conseguindo ambos um lugar na vereação da Câmara Municipal.

Chegou a Braga o novo conceito de gelados saudáveis. A MyIced, marca nacional de gelados de iogurte, inaugurou este sábado mais uma loja no coração da cidade. Situada na Rua dos Chãos, os clientes podem saborear o MyIced Eclipse, um gelado sem açúcar, glúten e lactose, com sabor a baunilha e feito à base de carvão vegetal ativado.

João Gouveia, gestor nacional da marca MyIced, explicou que a loja de gelados traz um conceito inovador à cidade, não só pelo seu serviço self-service, mas pelos produtos saudáveis. “O nosso conceito é um gelado self-service onde o próprio cliente faz o seu próprio gelado, um gelado sem açúcar, lactose e glúten onde os intolerantes à lactose e glúten podem consumir sem problema nenhum. Além do gelado com estas características, temos três sabores cem por cento vegan com leite de soja: o gelado de chocolate, de baunilha e o de carvão vegetal ativado. O carvão em si é detox e a pessoa que o vai consumir acaba por fazer uma espécie de desintoxicação corporal, o que é ótimo porque cuida da pele”, esclareceu.

McDonald’s abre quinto restaurante em Braga

A McDonald’s inaugurou hoje o quinto restaurante em Braga, reforçando a aposta neste concelho e a proximidade com a comunidade local. O novo espaço, o primeiro da cidade com serviço McCafé, dispõe de 163 lugares sentados, entre a sala e a esplanada e serviço de McDrive.

Localizado na Rotunda Santos da Cunha, na Quinta das Portas,  em Maximinos, o novo McDonald’s está aberto, todos os dias, das 8h00 às 00h00, sendo que o McDrive encerra às 2h00.

O restaurante integra também as mais recentes tecnologias disponíveis ao serviço dos consumidores, nomeadamente, quiosques multimédia que permitem realizar e pagar o pedido autonomamente e levantá-lo numa área específica para o efeito, tablets para consulta à Internet e acesso a jogos didáticos, menuboard digital, carregadores de indução e tomadas USB para recarga de equipamentos eletrónicos, além de serviço à mesa. No exterior, conta ainda com uma área onde os mais novos podem brincar.

Bom Jesus é palco da I edição do ‘Bombeiro de Elite’

Desafiar os bombeiros a ultrapassarem os seus limites e promover, em simultâneo, o convívio entre todos os bombeiros do país são os grandes objetivos da Prova ‘Bombeiro de Elite’, que se irá realizar no dia 7 de outubro, pelas 10h00, e que tem como palco o Bom Jesus de Braga.

A prova é organizada pela Associação Nacional dos Bombeiros Profissionais juntamente com a ADN Eventos Desportivos e conta com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Braga. O número de atletas inscritos nesta prova permite antever um enorme sucesso, sendo que a competição está aberta a todas as Corporações de Bombeiros do país (Bombeiros Profissionais, Voluntários e Privativos).

Estão inscritos 130 participantes, número que excedeu as expectativas da organização e obrigou ao fecho das inscrições. Irão participar 50 Corpos de Bombeiros, oriundos de vários locais do país, incluindo Açores, Madeira e até Espanha, o que demonstra a importância da prova e a perspetiva de continuidade e crescimento da mesma.

Esta é a primeira prova em Portugal que tem como pano fundo um monumento nacional, um espaço de beleza única e que é candidato a Património Mundial da Unesco. Essa característica tem atraído maior interesse ao evento.

Como salientou Firmino Marques, vice-presidente da Câmara Municipal de Braga, durante a conferência de imprensa de apresentação da iniciativa, é com enorme satisfação que a cidade recebe esta prova ‘num local de beleza inexcedível’. “Esta é uma prova que tem ainda o benefício de dar a conhecer à população a capacidade física e de superação dos nossos Bombeiros, que têm pela frente um desafio exigente e de coragem, passando a mensagem da eficácia da formação disponibilizada a todos os bombeiros sem excepção”, referiu.

A prova de resistência consiste na subida dos 566 degraus dos escadórios do Bom Jesus em contra-relógio. Os Bombeiros estarão equipados com o equipamento completo de proteção individual de bombeiro (Casaco de fogo, botas, calças, cogula, luvas, capacete e Aparelho Respiratório circuito aberto “ARICA”) e terão de percorrer a distância de 615 metros (com um desnível positivo de 116 metros) no menor tempo possível.

Gelado de Carvão chega a Braga

A loja, que abre em regime de franchise pela mão de Sérgio e Rita Pereira, vai oferecer momentos de animação e surpresas, e a oportunidade de provar os gelados de iogurte vegan, kosher ou de carvão vegetal ativado, que fazem parte do vasto leque de sabores da MyIced. O bubble tea ou os crepes e waffles confecionados na hora farão também as delicias dos novos clientes MyIced.

O verão de 2017 da MyIced fica marcado pelo sucesso do novo gelado de carvão vegetal ativado, o MyIced Eclipse, e por uma forte procura por parte de potenciais investidores, interessados em abrir novas lojas franchisadas.

Braga celebra período áureo com Encenação da Entrada Triunfal do Arcebispo D. José de Bragança

A cidade de Braga recuou este sábado a 23 de julho de 1741 com a encenação da chegada do Arcebispo D. José de Bragança a Braga, um dos pontos altos da Braga Barroca.

O cortejo atraiu muitos bracarenses à rua para assistir ao cortejo histórico, que envolveu cerca de 150 figurantes.

Braga celebra Noite Branca com muita animação

Milhares de pessoas deslocaram-se esta sexta-feira às ruas de Braga para participar no primeiro dia da Noite Branca que ficou marcado pelos concertos, exposições, instalações artísticas e animação de rua.

O palco principal, situado na Praça do Município, foi o ponto de maior concentração com as atuações de Áurea e Mariza. A Avenida Central também juntou uma multidão com o Palco gnration que recebeu os concertos de Osso e Orelha Negra.

A animação continua e promete pintar novamente a cidade de branco. No que toca a concertos, o Palco Principal abre às 21h00 com a Orquestra de Jazz de Matosinhos & Mayra Andrade, seguindo-se Seu Jorge às 22h30 e DJ Ride às 00h00. Já o Palco gnration conta com as atuações de Factory Floor às 00h00, Evian Christ às 1h20 e Niagara às 3h00.

Campanha solidária no Canil de Braga apela à adoção de animais e não ao abandono

Foi realizada, esta sexta-feira à tarde, uma campanha solidária em defesa do animal no Canil Municipal de Braga onde diversas figuras apelaram à população para adotar um animal e para não abandonar os seus amigos de quatro patas nas férias.

Rui Morais, administrador da Agere, congratulou esta iniciativa uma vez que a o Canil Municipal de Braga encontra-se lotado e o período das férias estar a aaproximar-se. “Estamos neste momento com a lotação completamente esgotada com cerca de 47 animais e é bom que exista este tipo de iniciativas nesta altura porque estamos numa fase complicada, que é o início do verão e o início das férias, onde infelizmente muita gente continua a abandonar os animais. Torna-se cada vez mais permanente que as associações criem este tipo de iniciativas e consigam estar presentes em termos de sociedade civil dentro desta problemática”, disse.

Luís Pedroso, presidente da União de Freguesias de Maximinos Sé e Cividade, apelou à adoção e não ao abandono do animal, pretendendo sensibilizar, também, a população desta União com animais para não deixarem os dejetos nos jardins. “Adotar sim, abandono não, e como estamos numa altura quase de férias sabemos que dizem as estatísticas que é a altura que estes animais são mais abandonados. Temos de começar a sensibilizar as pessoas para essas más práticas mas também sensibilizar as pessoas que têm cães que devem ter outros cuidados, nomeadamente nos nossos jardins. Na nossa União de Freguesias temos jardins bem tratados mas não podemos ter dejetos de animais nos nossos jardins”, salientou.

Francisco Mota, responsável do Pelouro do Ambiente, falou sobre a responsabilidade que cada pessoa deve ter com os amigos de quatro patas. “A relação entre o homem e o animal deve ser da responsabilidade de cada um de nós. O animal é aquele que entra nas nossas vidas e acaba por ser mais um membro da família”, realçou.

Hugo Torres, músico bracarense, lamenta que nos dias de hoje ainda hajam campanhas, uma vez que para o música, a sociedade já deveria saber que não se deve abandonar um animal. “Eu acho que nem é necessário haver campanhas porque isto já teria que ser intrínseco e tinha que estar em cada um de nós, ter a consciência de que abandonar um animal nunca é uma atitude sensata e as campanhas só existem para combater injustiças e isso já nem devia de acontecer. Saber que não temos condições de ter um animal, então não adotamos”, concluiu.

A iniciativa partiu da associação Abandoned Pets, da CAPA  da Póvoa de Lanhoso e de cidadãos que juntos acreditam ser possível monopolizar meios para chegar ao distrito de Braga e alertar para o papel fundamental dos humanos no bem-estar dos animais.

Miguel Corais lança candidatura do PS à Câmara Municipal de Braga

O candidato do Partido Socialista à Câmara Municipal, Miguel Corais, vai apresentar publicamente a sua candidatura, no próximo dia 7 de Julho, às 19h00, na Praça do Município, em Braga.

Entre as diversas personalidades locais e nacionais confirmadas, encontra-se o dirigente do Partido Socialista, José António Vieira da Silva. A candidatura tem Pedro Bacelar Vasconcelos a presidir a Comissão de Honra e José Manuel Tarroso Gomes como Mandatário Politico.

Miguel Corais assume-se formalmente como candidato do PS às eleições autárquicas de 1 de outubro, seguro das suas convicções e com vontade de envolver os bracarenses numa nova dinâmica de desenvolvimento. Segundo o candidato “um desenvolvimento humanista, cujo grande potencial se encontre nas pessoas, que projete a centralidade e a importância que sempre teve nos seus mais de 2000 anos de existência”, sublinhando que “Queremos um concelho que seja conhecido pelo investimento na cultura, no turismo e na educação e que se afirme como uma cidade de referência à sua escala no atual contexto da globalização.”

Para o candidato socialista à presidência do concelho “estes 4 anos ficaram muito aquém das expectativas geradas. São os próprios cidadãos que alegam problemas do foro urbanístico, falta de transparência e desrespeito pelo património, uma das maiores riquezas da cidade. Vivemos 4 anos em permanente festa e propaganda. Braga perdeu. Braga precisa de uma nova ambição. Precisa de uma verdadeira mudança.”

“Novas Ideias. Nova Ambição” é o lema da campanha que reflete a forma como o candidato interpreta o seu papel na política ativa e o compromisso que assume com o concelho e os seus munícipes. “Este é um manifesto de intenções alicerçado em princípios e valores sólidos que defenda em primeira instância o principal desígnio desta candidatura: os bracarenses”, conclui Miguel Corais.
